I have read a lot of good things. Books that moved me, ideas that felt true when I found them. And then I forget them. Almost all of them.

This is how memory works. We forget about half of what we learn within an hour, and most of it within a day. It is called the forgetting curve. But knowing that never helped me. I still read, and I still forgot.

I notice it when I reread a book. The second time, I get so much more out of it. Sometimes a single chapter, sometimes a few paragraphs, land in a way they never did the first time. Nothing on the page changed. I just met it again.

So that is what I built the app to do. You read an idea, and then it comes back to you in small checkpoints, at the quiet moments, like when you reach for an app you are trying to use less. Not a new thing to learn every time. The same few ideas, returning, until they sink in.

Slowly, without much effort, they settle. Even below the surface, where the useful things live. And one day you notice you are not just remembering the idea. You are living it.

That is the whole point. Not to read more. To keep the little that matters, and let it change something.
